Miss Polonia 2009
Sonia Siok
was honored as Miss Polonia 2009 during our annual event, the Polish Festival on June 21, 2009 at Clinton Square in Syracuse, New York.
Sonia Siok is graduating from Liverpool High School and is in the top 3% of her graduating class. In the fall, she will be attending Carnegie Mellon University located in Pittsburgh. While in high school, Sonia was on the varsity golf team, president of Science Olympiad for two years, and treasurer of Spanish club. She was a member of Model United Nations, National Honor Society, and math league. She has volunteered at both the Polish Festival and the Polish Home of Syracuse, as well as at the Samaritan Center and St. Joseph’s Hospital. In her spare time, Sonia enjoys traveling, especially to her native country of Poland. and will journey to China and South Korea this summer.
