Outstanding Pole 2011 - Father Thomas P. Kobuszewski

Polish Scholarship Fund proudly announces that Father Thomas P. Kobuszewski has been named the 2011 “Pole of the Year.”

This year Polish Scholarship Fund names Father Thomas P. Kobuszewski, pastor at Transfiguration of Our Lord Church in Syracuse as our “Pole of the Year.”

Born September 12, 1937 in Syracuse, NY and ordained May 16, 1964 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Syracuse, NY. Among his priestly assignments were as assistant pastor at St. Mary’s in New York Mills, Sacred Heart in Syracuse and Transfiguration in Syracuse. He also served as temporary administrator at St. Stephen’s.

Syracuse and as associate at Immaculate Heart of Mary, Liverpool. On February 12, 1999, Father Kobuszewski was named permanent administrator and become pastor, the following July 1, of Transfiguration Church. This year Father Tom become administrator of Basilica of Sacred Heart.
